Live feed:

The term Live content isn't exactly accurate when you're talking about live internet feeds.  The fact of the matter is that the feeds have to make stops in between the source and the destination.  Now the amount of time it takes to make those stops can be very fast and at times nearly real time.  Depending on where the source computer is and where the media server is, and how many stops in between it will have to make before reaching you, the feed will usually have a slight delay from real time.

Of course a slight delay of 30 seconds from "Real Time" is still far superior to what is being offered now, and this is possible only because we are utilizing a dedicated Windows media server.  Some hosting sites advertise "Streaming Video Supported", however, they continue to use an http server which is not designed for streaming video.  As the number of viewers increases, an http server's video quality and delay will significantly deteriorate.  A windows media server is designed for one thing and one thing only, supplying you crisp clear audio and video feeds.

For more information on the limitations of an http server when supplying audio and video, simply do a search on the internet.
